Adacta at InsureNXT 2026: Shaping Insurance of the Future with Die Haftpflichtkasse

Adacta joined InsureNXT 2026 in Cologne on 20–21 May, together with its client Die Haftpflichtkasse, one of Germany's most renowned property and casualty insurers. Positioned as the international congress and trade fair for innovation in the insurance industry, this year's agenda spanned core platform modernisation, broker-centric operations, pragmatic AI adoption, and the operational realities of large-scale transformation.

On Stage with Die Haftpflichtkasse

The highlight of Adacta's participation was the joint session "The next generation of insurance operations: How legacy transformation becomes a competitive advantage," delivered by Dr. Claus Hunold, Board member for Sales, Marketing, and Product Management at Haftpflichtkasse VVaG, and Marco Blank, Senior Manager at Adacta Germany.

Together, they set out the vision behind HK.One, their transformational platform, through which Die Haftpflichtkasse is shaping a new generation of insurance operations on the AdInsure platform. Both speakers framed the work not as a system replacement but as the foundation for becoming the broker partner of the future.

Modernisation Is Now Mandatory

The session opened with a direct view of where competitive pressure is concentrating in the German P&C market. Regulation, speed to market, customer expectations, AI, and the weight of legacy core environments are increasingly separating future-ready insurers from the rest. Modernisation has moved from optional to mandatory; a signal echoed across the event.

A New Core System Is the Foundation, Not the Goal

A central message of the joint presentation was that technology alone does not create value. AdInsure provides the platform foundation, while the surrounding program reshapes operational governance, sales management, organisational structure, and end-to-end processes. The objective is a stronger broker and customer proposition, anchored in a configurable, integration-ready platform rather than a standalone IT initiative.

"A new core system is not the end goal. It is the foundation that allows us to become the broker partner of the future, with operations, processes, and organisation aligned to broker and customer needs," said Dr. Claus Hunold, Board member for Sales, Marketing, and Product Management at Haftpflichtkasse VvaG.

Successful Transformations Happen Below the Surface

Both speakers were clear that the visible layer of a transformation program – project plan, workshops, features, go-live milestones – is not where success is determined. The decisive work happens underneath: governance, executive sponsorship, business ownership, realistic planning, data quality, process harmonisation, and change management.

Joint ownership is the single largest success driver. Transformations are rarely decided at the end. They are decided at the beginning, in how the program is set up and governed.

"Transformations of this scale are decided long before go-live. Governance, joint ownership, and disciplined execution between insurer and platform provider are what determine the outcome," concluded Marco Blank, Senior Manager at Adacta Germany.
