Adacta launches its first internship program

Adacta is launching its first internship program in October. It will give seven promising students the chance to get their first work experience, work with and learn from the best experts in business analytics, project management, and software development, and have a chance at landing a job at the leading software provider for the insurance industry.

October marks the start of a new academic year. This year it could also be the beginning of a meaningful career for seven promising young students. The 12-week program starts on 10 October 2022 and will enrol seven students from Ljubljana and Belgrade. The best-performing interns in Adacta's first-ever internship program will get an employment offer.

What is Adacta’s internship program?

Mini AdInsure Rotation, Adacta’s internship program, is a regional talent identification and development initiative. Its strategic goal is to develop high-quality in-house professionals by bringing promising students with little to no work experience into the corporate environment. Adacta has chosen seven promising individuals and offered them the opportunity to learn from the best and most experienced mentors. They will help broaden newcomers' knowledge and improve their analytical and programming skills.

How will the program be carried out?

Over the 12-week internship program, students will rotate among business departments and familiarize themselves with the work environment and culture. The department leaders selected coordinators who will lead the internship in their respective departments and actively participate in developing the internship content.

Students will get a 360-degree overview of the business organisation and receive work-related confidence and experience. They will rotate among four departments: Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Product Delivery, and Research & Development, including DevOps and IT.

At the end of the internship, the best students will continue working in the departments where they are the best fit and get the chance to put their new skills to use and grow further.

Why did Adacta design the initiative?

It is not the first time Adacta is helping students acquire relevant skills. Adacta cooperates with many faculties by participating in their career fairs, presenting job opportunities to students, and giving lectures. Damijan Rebernak, Head of R&D at Adacta and a proud program supporter explains the focus on young talent:

"We know some of these newcomers will probably join us someday and help us build the future of insurance. Young people can bring creativity and fresh thinking to the workplace but sometimes need real-life experience to expand their skills. That is why we have decided to take all our current activities to the next level with a comprehensive internship program that will tie together all of our efforts. And since the purpose is to give young people a better chance of employment, we wanted to improve the program with this goal in mind."
